The State of Texas has Three Levels of Inspector Licenses

Apprentice Inspector
Real Estate Inspector
Professional Inspector

There are different requirements for each license, and an applicant must pass an examination to be licensed as a real estate inspector or professional inspector.

A person who performs a real estate inspection for a buyer or seller of real property generally must be licensed as an inspector by THE TEXAS REAL ESTATE COMMISSION "TREC". Be sure your inspector has his license and make sure it is valid with The State of Texas.
